Dr. Ron Shapiro received his medical training at the Emory University School of Medicine and graduated in 1979. He completed is specialty training at the Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon in Internal Medicine in 1982. Dr. Shapiro has been practicing medicine for 34 years and began performing hair restoration surgery in 1990. At his clinic, the Shapiro Medical Group in Minneapolis, USA, Dr.Shapiro specializes in all aspects of hair restoration. Additionally, he has authored many books and academic papers on the subject.
